Techniques used by Dr. Kauzlarich 

There are many chiropractic methods of adjusting the spine. Dr. Kauzlarich incorporates a combination of many of these however uses Diversified, SOT and Gonstead as the core of her care package.


Diversified

Diversified is a manual adjusting style using a low force thrust that is deliverd to the designated spinal segment in order to correct the position of the vertebral segment.  The purpose of all adjusting regardless of the technique or area in the spine is to improve spinal bio mechanics while also reducing nervous interference at the the level of the spine.

SOT (Sacro Occipital Technique)

SOT is a chiropractic technique designed to promote balance in the relationship between the pelvis and the skull.  This technique is a safe approach to correcting the misalignment in the spine, using gravity and the weight of the patients own body to balance the superior and inferiors poles of the spine.

Gonstead Technique

Named after its developer, Dr. Clarence Gonstead, this approach came from his engineering background.  His "foundation principal" explains how a vertebral subluxation pattern in one area of the spine can produce compensatory changes in another.  The Gonstead Technique is acknowledged as one of the safest systems of evaluating and caring for the spine.
